The Hero of Waterloo Hotel is located in The Rocks district of Sydney at 81 Lower Fort St, Millers Point. It is named after the Duke of Wellington, who is best known for defeating Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo, bringing an end to the Napoleonic era in Europe.
Stepping in the front door you see a fabulous bar area where you can enjoy a great variety of drinks. I recommend the in-house beer the Duke of Wellington lager. If you drop in in winter you may see a cosy fire going. So if you you settle in and enjoy the warmth and atmosphere of the grand old pub.
There is a fully licensed restaurant offering modern Australian cuisine and a wide selection of wines.
