A lazy sleep in today before heading out to one of our favourite places in Sydney for breakfast the City Extra Restaurant in Circular Quay.
The view is amazing and the “Canadian Pancakes” is always my favourite. I like this place as you got the view and being at Circular Quay you see the hustle and bustle of the morning commuters heading off to work.
We love hanging around The Rocks in Sydney and today was going to be a lazy day of drinking and dining.
Our first pub stop of the day was The Glenmore Hotel in Cumberland St, The Rocks . Their roof top bar and dining area offers a great view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
After lunch our next stop was the The Hero of Waterloo Hotel at at 81 Lower Fort St, Millers Point. It is named after the Duke of Wellington, who is best known for defeating Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo, bringing an end to the Napoleonic era in Europe.
Our next stop was a short walk to the The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel located at 19 Kent Street The Rocks.
There is some debate of which is the oldest pub in Sydney with the The Lord being the oldest continuously licensed hotel in Sydney, pulling beers since 1841.
One of our favourite place to dine is an Italian restaurant called Caminetto it is located at 13-17 Playfair St, The Rocks. A short walk of 200 metres from our motel.
It gets mixed reviews, for us we’ve never been disappointed in any of our visits there. So if you’re in the area check it out for yourself.
