With our journey to Monument Valley done it was time to turn around and head back towards Route 66.
Riding back through Monument Valley with the sun behind us was a truly majestic experience. You can certainly see why it’s one of the most photographed places on the planet.
If I was to venture this way again I’d try and stay at Mexican Hat, it’s closer to Monument Valley and it’s also on the San Juan river.
The destination for today is Williams, AZ. a ride of 421 km (261miles) I wound the throttle open once we departed Monument Valley so we made great time. We also gained an hour coming back into Arizona.
We called into Grand Canyon Harley-Davidson at Bellmont on the way through. More shirts that we probably don’t need.
Tomorrow we head to Las Vegas.
