Today we would be touring to Charleville from Toowoomba, with a planned stop at the artesian hot springs at Mitchell. Our first stop was Darby’s bakery in Oakey for a pastry treat.

It seems we have lost any photos we took during the day, or maybe we never took any.

The Great Artesian Spa at Mitchell are a well worthwhile stop if you are in the area. The naturally heated mineral water pumped from the Great Artesian Basin is ideal for relaxing tired muscles and soothing the mind and body.

After a refreshing dip we stopped in at the  Post Office Hotel for a cold beer before heading on to Charleville.

Our motel for the night was the Warrego Motel Charleville. Once checked in we wandered down to Hotel Corones for a couple of beers, ventured over to the RSL for a couple more. Nothing really stood out in the way of dining so a simple burger from the truckstop seen us fed for the night.
